The Arctic North Conference at Lákšjohka

On July 21st-26th, the Arctic North Conference was held in Lákšjohka in Tana, Finnmark, organized by the Sami preacher couple Arild & Ragnhild Måsø who lead the Sami Indigenous Christian Center.

Over 100 participants - Sami, Kven and Norwegians - from Finnmark, as well as participants from all over Norway, Sweden, Finland, Greenland, Canada, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Peru and even Australia gathered for a week that was packed with strong preaching, powerful joik and worship, and healing prayer and ministry, and lots of heartwarming fellowship.

The keynote speaker Linda Bergling from Sweden brought powerful revelation through the Word and ministry.

In addition, servants of the Lord from Israel, Finland and Norway preached.

The Messianic Jewish pastor from Lower Galilee, Israel Naftali, taught in the morning sessions about the situation for Israel in a world of resistance and war.

The worship and joik characterized the meetings with a strong presence of God. There were singers and musicians from Norway, Finland and Greenland.

On the last day there was a joyous baptism in the Tana Fjord.

The prayer meetings were the engine of the conference. The prayer gatherings every morning in the Lavvo set the tone for each day.

A separate parallel children's & youth festival was held on an island in the Tana Fjord, and Aina Torp from Oslochurch held children's meetings for children under eight years of age.

The participants stayed in cabins, caravans and motorhomes, tents and nearby accommodations. All meals were held in a food tent where the well-being and joy were noticeable.
