On November 26th, 2023 Oslokirken restarted its public ministry after having had a pause since late 2019.
— During these four years, society in Norway was largely closed down because of the pandemic for more than two years, so most people hardly noticed that we were «closed», says Aina & Jan-Aage Torp.
— We only gathered some key associates for prayer, worship and fellowship. However, we were very visible in the capitol and internationally through Jan-Aage´s weekly TV shows and the ministry of European Apostolic Leaders (EAL) og Kristen Koalisjon Norge (KKN), says Aina.
But their main calling was to build the church in Oslo.
— Three months ago, the time had come to restart, says the pastor couple Torp.
— Our provisional name has been «New Oslokirken», and we have been given the opportunity to use suitable facilities in Evangeliesalen Berøa Pentecostal Church at Grünerløkka. The location fits us perfectly, because the median age in this suburban area is around 38 years, and here live all kinds of nationalities and students.
Although the growth is gradual, they see that God is doing a noticeable work.
— Wa gather unsaved and seeking people, and Christians who have been searching for a spiritual home. So far six nationalities are approaching us, and among them are several ethnic Norwegians.
— These three months in «New Oslokirken» has increased our faith, says the pastor couple Torp. — We see that the Lord is doing His work in His way, and we are merely His servants, uderscore the pastor couple.
