Oslochurch, led by Pastor Jan-Aage Torp, has today had a constructive meeting with The Immigration Appeals Board" (Utlendingsnemnda - UNE).
- Three of UNE's lawyers sought to glean from our extensive experience with asylum seekers, regarding conversion to Christianity, with ensuing baptism, membership, and ongoing Christian lifestyle.
- We proposed a unified discipleship process within the main streams of Christianity, especially Lutheran, Pentecostal and Roman Catholic, which can be used by UNE as they legally assess the validity of Christian conversion for asylum seekers.
- We proposed that these standards could be formulated by the Norwegian Christian Council (NKR), says pastor Torp who is very happy with the meeting today.
