In the worship service yesterday, Jan-Aage Torp painted a broad picture of the task that lies before us.

Great Perspectives on Possessing Cultural Spheres

In a framework of strong praise, mighty communion, and the fellowship of believers, Pastor Jan-Aage Torp drew a picture of the seven spheres of culture that God has given His Church the authority to possess: Religion, Family, Education, Government, Media, Arts & entertainment, and Business.

-The Christian leaders Bill Bright and Loren Cunningham both received revelation about this in the 1970´s, but nothing is new under the sun, underscored Torp: -Actually, this assignment is given in the Creation Mandate in Genesis 1:26-28 and the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20, and our own Hans Nielsen Hauge lived in this revelation as long ago as 200 years ago. Without Hauge´s practical Christian example, Norway would hardly have become the wellfunctioning nation that we are today.

-Every one of us needs to find out what the Lord has called us to (Romans 12:2), commit ourselves to this assignment, and act upon what we believe (James 2:17), challenged Jan-Aage, and reminded us that sometimes there are external or internal matters in our lives that put a restraint on our ministry. -We must ourselves deal with such things so we can function freely and strong in the ministry that God has called us to, he said.
