On Tuesday, May 7th, my friend and brother in Christ, Rev. Pastor Joseph Anin, was promoted to Glory. He had been ill for a few years.
He and Jemima leave behind three beloved children, Joseph Jr, Jessie and Joy.
Joseph Anin was born in Ghana on June 30th, 1960, and came to Norway with Jemima in the mid-1990´s.
At the end of the 1990´s he became co-pastor of Church of Pentecost international in Oslo.
In 2003 he founded All Nations Full Gospel Church Norway, under a Toronto-based global church-planting movement.
Then in 2007 he founded Oslo International Charismatic Church, which in 2012 joined the Baptist Union of Norway. In 2017 Rev. Anin chose to resign from his position.
As an esteemed Servant of God for 25 years, Rev. Anin´s ministry was permeated by a passion for winning souls for Christ. He sought to reproduce himself by shaping a new generation of ministers with the same passion.
Everywhere Rev. Joseph served, growth followed in his footsteps.
I got to know Joseph and Jemima in 1998, and we often ministered in each other´s churches. I was an intrical part of his advisory team, being involved in the legal decisions of every major decision Joseph made since 2003.
In 2005, the Lord instructed me to wash his feet as a prophetic declaration of his leadership to the Body of Christ in Norway.
Aina & I loved Joseph, and we love Jemima, Joseph Junior, Jessie and Joy.
Now, we rejoice that Rev. Joseph Anin is HOME. See you «next time», Bro!
The funeral on May 24th at Østenstad Kirke in Asker was attended by more than 250 family, friends, and supporters. It was a worthy memorial of a great man of Gud!
A celebration gathering of the life of Rev. Pastor Joseph Anin will be announced within a few days.
