Europe (including Norway) needs to have an entity that sets sensible standards for Christian ministries that campaign for money to the poor and needy, like credible ministries do in the United States.

My parents Anne & Aage Torp served Jesus sacrificially for decades in several nations of Eastern Asia. I learned from them that every donation shoild go fully to the people that we served. It was never a question of keeping even 10 percent for our administrative needs. In reality, we conveyed at least 100 percent!

People should be able to ask every Christian organization if they actually spend the received money according to their fundraising communication.

We should not accept that any more than 10 percent is kept for administrative purposes. I even know that some keep 50 percent! NO-NO-NO!!!

I am introducing the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) as a good model for the needed financial accountability in European nations.

ECFA was founded in 1979, and provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, transparency, fundraising and board governance. Members include Christian ministries, denominations, churches, educational institutions and other tax-exempt organizations. Currently in USA, there are 1,942 accredited members, and collectively, these organizations represent nearly $23 billion in annual revenue.
