We are in perilous times in 2022. In many ways it looks a lot like «the days of Noah» which are described vividly in Genesis chapters 6-9 and applied in Jesus´ stern warnings in the Gospel of Matthew: 

«For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man» (Matthew 24:37).

Shockingly low

Morality is at a shockingly low level in Norway and the Western world.

Pedophilia is widespread, and all kinds of perversions are being promoted even in the public schools and health services.

The number of children and teenagers who request sex-change surgery is at a record high - and reports abound of many who find no happiness in their changed identity.

I could go on and on.

Hope in 2022

But there is great hope in 2022.

I don´t base my high hopes on my optimistic personality, but on God´s living Word. God sent His only begotten Son to the world to rescue and restore all things. It is not too late!

Restoration

Acts 3:18-21 establishes:

«But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago».

The Father sent the Son to bring hope, future and restoration, and this is totally valid in 2022.

Promises

Even after the flood, Genesis reports that God made several promises:

• He would never again curse the ground because of humans (a reference to the curse of Genesis 3), despite the fact that human evil was not eradicated by the flood (Gen 8:20–21);
• He would never again destroy all life on earth (8:21);
• He would never again allow that the cycle of days and seasons be broken (8:22);
• He would ensure that every living creature would continue to fear humans and be available to them as food (9:2–3); and
• He would never again destroy all life with a flood and he would remember this promise whenever he sees a rainbow (9:11,15).

These age-old promises to protect humankind and the earth are valid in 2022 as well. 

We have no reason to fear.

2022 is the Year of Promises for Norway and the world!
