From the debate this morning. There was an enlightening debate at the Agendamorning on the freedom concept at Youngstorget this morning between the Labor Party leader Jonas Gahr Støre, the Education & Research Minister Torbjørn Røe Isaksen, PhD in political theory Hilde Nagell, and idea historian Håvard Friis Nilsen, led by editor Kaia Storvik. Pastor Jan-Aage Torp posed questions about freedom in the light of religion and faith, and he got thought-provoking answers, especially from the Minister of Education and Research.
Minister of Education & Research Torbjørn Røe Isaksen said among other things: "I am sceptical to thinking that we should detail-control the cultural norms of everybody in Norway. You represent, Torp, also a church and a milieu that should be concerned if we were to impose "the majority´s liberality" on you."
